I care about you. I really, really do.

Because I didn't care enough about myself for way too long, not really, even though I said all the things about self love and self care and mindfulness and other special catch-phrases like that.
From being a naive, young university student with the world at her feet, to choosing 'safe' out of fear and doubt, to making a LOT of life-changing mistakes...
To becoming a timid and afraid, unrecognizable shell of who I once was and always thought I'd be, with 2 babies who were 3 years old and 6 months old - alone and scared, and filled to the brim with self doubt and depreciation...
To making a rollercoaster comeback over the years - forward and backward, up and down, with all the support you can imagine and very little of it felt, and with all the independence you can muster when you don't believe you can do anything, and you maybe aren't worth it until you do.

Take care of you. YOU matter and YOU are needed, exactly as you are in this world right now.

I dreamed up Illuminating You with the goal of helping women feel more beautiful, more confident, and more joyful. I want you to feel fun, excited, organized, confident and put together, and even sexy! WHAT? Do you dare?

What started out as less than an idea worth mentioning, with a lot of doubt and many of my own eye rolls and anxious sighs to follow, has now evolved into perhaps a dynamic possibility, packed with wonderings and topics and products that are important, impactful, and meaningful to me, and hopefully, you. I sit here reflecting on one hell of a journey ~ one that took me getting to my mid-40s with most of my sanity, some of my chin hairs, a few wisdom lines, and all of my heart in one piece.
